Esther B. O’Keeffe Innovation Center

Rendering of the Innovation Center; two story building
Construction is well underway on The King’s Academy’s newest addition; the Esther B. O’Keeffe Innovation Center. The project has been made a reality through a generous and significant gift from the Esther B. O’Keeffe Charitable Foundation.

The two-story, 12,000+ sq. ft Innovation Center will house creative educational spaces for both elementary and high school students. The Foundation’s gift comes at a moment when The King’s Academy is experiencing record growth in its student body. The gift will enable the school to impact more students and to remain on the cutting edge of education by strengthening academic programs. The Esther B. O’Keeffe Innovation Center will provide eight additional classroom spaces. The first floor will house an elementary computer lab, unique spaces for the school’s gifted elementary program, art & world language facilities, and an elementary STEM classroom. The second floor will house a state-of-the-art film studio, which will be an extension of the school’s Studio 70 production facility. The new film studio will include an LED virtual infinity wall, a next generation green screen which will be one of only a few in use at American high schools and universities. The infinity wall will span floor to ceiling and allow digital media students to create any imaginable background to produce professional quality movies, film, and documentaries. The second floor will also house a middle and high school computer labs, a business classroom with a finance lab, and innovative spaces for video editing, graphic design, and videography.

The Esther B. O’Keeffe Innovation Center will create a safe haven for new ideas, providing opportunities for individual and group collaborations, and fostering a culture of innovation through the creation. This space will encourage curiosity, experimentation and creativity. Generous benefactors like Miss Clare O’Keeffe are a blessing to The King’s Academy family and have a tremendous impact on the lives of our students. The Esther B. O’Keeffe Innovation Center will provide the space necessary for teachers to develop today’s students into tomorrow’s leaders, innovators, and change makers.
