Special Events

Every year, our middle school students look forward to our annual retreats at Real Life Camp in Vero Beach. These trips are designed to foster camaraderie, provide outdoor learning experiences, and encourage spiritual growth. Students engage in a variety of activities including lake activities, rock wall climbing, bike rides, pool games, bonfires, and s'mores making. The retreats also feature chapel activities accompanied by a live band, providing our students a space for spiritual reflection and connection.

What better way to start off the school year than with a splash! Our Middle School Back to School Bash at Rapid's Waterpark is the perfect event to welcome our students back to school. This day of water rides, wave pools, and lazy rivers not only provides a refreshing start to the new academic year but also creates a fun environment for students to reconnect after the summer break.

The Middle School Dance in May is a highlight for our students. It's not just about dancing, but also about enjoying good food, making memories, and having fun with friends. The dance provides an opportunity for our students to socialize in a safe and supervised environment while celebrating the end of the school year. This event always promises to be a night to remember!

Celebrating our school spirit is at the heart of our Middle School Field Day. Scheduled during Homecoming Week, Field Day is an exciting day filled with friendly competition, games, and activities. From tug-of-war to sack races, students participate in a variety of traditional field day events. This event fosters teamwork and school spirit while providing a day of fun and celebration.

The King’s Academy Junior Senior Formal takes place in May. The Junior Class officers plan an incredible evening at a country club which includes dinner and dancing. Students may bring a guest who does not attend TKA after filling out a guest registration form. Tickets for this event may be purchased during lunch or in the Student Life office.

The songs that move you. The faith that lifts you. It all comes alive in one weekend – Rock the Universe, where the biggest names in Christian rock take the stage at Universal Studios theme park.

From two stages throughout the park – including the brand new Music Plaza – your favorite bands play into the night. Between sets, you get to enjoy the action-packed thrills of the number one movie and TV based theme park in the world, including the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster, Transformers: The Ride – 3D and Revenge of the Mummy.

In the Spring of Senior year, students leave campus for a special luncheon. Senior boys and their Fathers head out for a BBQ. Senior ladies and their Moms enjoy a special time together. It is a treasured TKA event.

Existing as perhaps one of the most impactful events in student life at TKA, the senior retreat is an awesome opportunity for our community to bond, grow, and have fun.
