The King’s Academy’s International Program Office practices rolling admissions, meaning that an international student can apply at any time. TKA begins receiving International Student applications for the next year’s fall semester as early as a year in advance. We recommend that international students apply as early as possible.

How to Apply

Thank you for your interest in The King's Academy's International Student Program. Below is an overview of our admissions process, from application to arrival on campus.

Step 1: Complete the Online Application

Step 2: Submit Your Admissions Documents

Once we receive your application, our ISP team will follow up to help you complete your admissions package, which typically includes:

Two to three recent photos of the applicant
A copy of the applicant's passport
Official results directly from an approved English Proficiency Assessment (ELTiS, Duolingo, TOEFL iBT, TOEFL PBT, TOEFL Jr, SLATE/iTEP, IELTS, or CAE). See our full language requirements by grade level.
Academic records for the two previous academic years, including any in-progress transcripts available for the current academic year. This should include an official transcript in the native language, if applicable, and an English translation.

A note on translations: transcripts may be translated by a translation service of your choosing.

Step 3: Interview and Acceptance Process

Applicant Interview

Once your application and all supporting documents are complete, a member of our Admissions Committee will contact you to schedule an interview, typically conducted by video call and lasting 20 to 30 minutes. We are glad to accommodate time zone differences and, when convenient for both parties, can arrange an interview on campus or in the applicant's home country.

Acceptance Decision

Following the interview, the Admissions Committee will share its decision within approximately two business days.

Enrollment Contract and Tuition Deposit

Accepted students receive an enrollment packet within 15 days of their acceptance decision, including an Admissions Letter, a Tuition Statement and Enrollment Contract, and, for boarding/homestay students, a Residential Services Agreement.

Families have two weeks to complete and return the Enrollment Contract, along with a non-refundable tuition deposit. Deposit amounts, along with wire transfer instructions for families who choose that payment method, are provided directly in the Enrollment Contract. Please contact our ISP office with any questions about deposit amounts or payment.

Step 4: Enrollment and Visa Application

Upon receipt of the signed Enrollment Contract and tuition deposit, the student is officially enrolled. Families will then complete the I-20 Request Form, which allows our office to prepare the student's I-20 document.

We will send a welcome packet electronically, including the student's I-20 and instructions for applying for an F-1 student visa.

With I-20 in hand, students are responsible for scheduling a visa interview with their local U.S. Embassy and for paying the SEVIS I-901 fee online at www.ice.gov/sevis/i901. Please visit the website of the embassy or consulate where you will apply for a visa for full instructions.

Step 5: Tuition Payment & Travel Arrangements

International students are required to submit full payment of annual tuition no later than June 1. Students who do not meet this deadline may lose their admissions status and deposit.

Each incoming class has designated arrival dates so that we can welcome students and arrange airport transportation; these dates are included in the Acceptance Letter and Enrollment Contract. Students have options for flights to arrive at Palm Beach International Airport (PBI), Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), or Miami International Airport (MIA).

Step 6: Residential Placement

One of the distinctives of The King's Academy's International Student Program is the choice between a homestay experience and residential-style dormitory boarding. Both options offer enhanced cultural integration, accelerated English learning, and personalized care.

Applicants indicate a placement preference on their application and during their interview, and we consider this preference when finalizing housing assignments. Because a preference cannot always be guaranteed, international students should feel comfortable living in either arrangement.
