Orietta Regalado Accepted Into Manhattan School Of Music

Orietta-RegaladoThe King’s Academy has a long-standing tradition of helping its graduating fine arts students gain acceptance into the top performing arts colleges and universities across the United States and senior Orietta Regalado is continuing that tradition.

Orietta has been accepted into the highly esteemed Manhattan School of Music where she will pursue a degree in vocal performance. She underwent a rigorous audition process and competed against more than 1,300 students. She has also been selected to study voice in the top vocal studio at the school under the chairman of the vocal department, Maitland Peters.  TKA alumna Lauren Jelencovich ’04 also attended this highly competitive program and has been touring the world as the principal soprano on the Yanni tour since graduating.

Orietta has been an active member of The King’s Academy’s Fine Arts Department for eight years. She was a member of the middle school choir “In Him” and is a member of the high school honors choir “His People.”  She has been a part of every musical production since 7th grade and has played principal roles in Seussical The Musical, Phantom of the Opera, The Sound of Music, and Titanic: The Musical.  She recently won first place in The Choral Society of the Palm Beaches Young Artist Vocal Competition.

She has found great success on our stage and I look forward to seeing her find success on the world stage representing TKA and God her savior.”
