Successful Sold Out Performances of The King’s Academy’s Black Box Dessert Theatre
The King’s Academy’s Theater Company wrapped up a ten show run in their Black Box Dessert Theater this weekend to sold out audiences.
The intimate setting in this seventy-two seat theater proved to be perfect in combination with the superb acting of the cast of Anne of Green Gables.
The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams was some of The King’s Academy’s finest acting to date. Director David Snyder hand-picked four of the TKA Theater Company’s most seasoned seniors to take on this rigorous script as their Senior Project. This show proceeded to floor audiences with its’ exquisite acting from this four member cast. Senior, Christina Layton, who played Amanda Wingfield, will be attending Northwestern University in Chicago next fall majoring in Musical Theater. While her colleague, Caitlin Prince, who played Laura Wingfield has several schools to choose from as she will be pursuing a double major in Neuroscience and Public Health with a minor in Spanish. These two exceptional girls are in close competition for number 1 and number 2 in their graduating class. Tom Wingfield, who was played by senior Landon Popadic, will be studying musical theater at Palm Beach Atlantic next fall. Senior CJ Biondo, who played James D. O’Conner will be joining Landon in the musical theater department at Palm Beach Atlantic.
