Scholastic Book Fair Raises $8,365

Hundreds of TKA students, parents, and grandparents delighted in the Feelin Groovy theme of the first Scholastic Book Fair. With an objective to ignite the love of reading, thousands of books were available and the variety of books gave students the ability to choose their favorites. Sales of almost $16,000 resulted in approximately 3000 books being sold. A total of 192 books were graciously donated by parents to teachers for their classroom libraries. A check for $8,365.36 was presented to TKA Vice President Randy Martin, to be used to purchase elementary and middle school books for the school library. Friends of the Library look forward to the 2nd Annual Scholastic Book Fair to be held in February of 2017.
