Introducing The 2015-2016 Prefect Council

The King’s Academy recently announced the selection of its 2015-2016 Prefect Council.  The council is made up of senior leaders who possess an uncompromising commitment to the school’s values and ideals. To be considered students must submit a nomination form, go through an interview, and be selected by a team of administrators and teachers.  The Prefect Council helps to oversee all areas of student life and lead the student body with emphasis on service not privilege.  Congratulations to these rising seniors:

Kaitlyn Biggs, daughter of Doug and Michelle Biggs of Lake Worth, will serve as a Unity Prefect.  She has attended The King’s Academy for three years and has been involved in His People Honors Choir, Performing Arts musical productions, Varsity Tennis and Volleyball and Key Club.

Austin Blakeney, son of Shaun and Teresa Blakeney of West Palm Beach, will serve as a Spiritual Life Prefect.  He has attended The King’s Academy for three years and has been involved in JV and Varsity Football and Soccer, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, National Chinese Honor Society, National Math Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, TKA Ambassador, Fused Bible Study, Aces Student Leadership Program, and Leadership of Palm Beach County.

Jessica Blakley, son of Johnston and Dana Blakley of North Palm Beach, will serve as a Service Prefect.  She has attended The King’s Academy for thirteen years and has been involved in JV and Varsity Volleyball, In Him and His People Honors Choir, Performing Arts musical productions, National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, National Math Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, TKA Ambassador, Key Club, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (Chosen Leader).

Delaney Boudreaux, daughter of Kyle and Deidre Boudreaux of Jupiter, will serve as a Service Prefect.  She has attended The King’s Academy for one and a half years and has been involved in His People Honors Choir, Praise Band, Fused Bible Study, and Key Club.

Karlenys Galiano, daughter of Hermes Galiano and Yorleni Fuster of Wellington, will serve as an Academic Prefect.  She has attended The King’s Academy for ten years and has been involved in the Performing Arts musical productions, National Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, and the Peer Tutoring Program.

Emily Haine, daughter of Marc and Rebekah DeProspero of West Palm Beach, will serve as a Spiritual Life Prefect.  She has attended The King’s Academy for ten years and has been involved in JV and Varsity Volleyball, In Him and His People Honors Choirs, National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, National Math Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, TKA Ambassador, and Fused Bible Study.

Noelle Leinwol, daughter of Thomas and Gina Leinwol of Wellington, will serve as a Spiritual Life Prefect.  She has attended The King’s Academy for one year and has been involved in His People Honors Choir.

Dylan Lowe, son of Evan and Dona Lowe of Tequesta, will serve as a Fine Arts Prefect.  He has attended The King’s Academy for thirteen years and has been involved in the Instrumental Music Department, Marching Band, Orchestra Pit, and His People Honors Choir.

Robert Mackenzie, son of Robert and Melissa Mackenzie of Boynton Beach, will serve as an Athletic Prefect.  He has attended The King’s Academy for three years and has been involved in Varsity Football and Baseball, Student Council, TKA Ambassador, Debate Team, and Political Science Club.

Julia McFadden, daughter of Kyle and Kelly McFadden of Palm Beach Gardens, will serve as an Athletic Prefect.  She has attended The King’s Academy for twelve years and has been involved in the Performing Arts musical productions, His People Honors Choir, JV and Varsity Basketball, Varsity Swim and Track, and TKA Ambassador.

Alexandria Nichols, daughter of Bryan and Janet Nichols, will serve as a Service Prefect.  She has attended The King’s Academy for two years and has been involved in His People Honors Choir, Performing Arts Dance Program, Varsity Soccer and Track and Field, National English Honor Society, and Key Club.

Adaeze Nwigwe, daughter of Benjamin and Amaka Nwigwe of Greenacres, will serve as an Academic Prefect.  She has attended The King’s Academy for ten years and has been involved in Volleyball and Cross Country, Performing Arts musical productions, National English Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, and National Science Honor Society.

Makayla Richardson, daughter of Keith and Tammy Richardson of Lake Worth, will serve as a Spiritual Life Prefect.  She has attended TKA for four years and has been involved in Varsity Cross Country, Varsity Track and Field, National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, National Math Honor Society, Tri-M Musical Honor Society, TKA Ambassador, and Political Science Club.

Daniel Shepherd, son of Dan and Robyn Shepherd of North Palm Beach, will serve as an Athletic Prefect.  He has attended The King’s Academy for five years and has been involved in Varsity Soccer, Track and Field, Lacrosse, National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, and Future Business Leaders of America.
