Introducing TKA’s 2014-2015 Prefect Council

The King’s Academy recently announced the selection of its 2014-2015 Prefect Council.  The council is made up of senior leaders who possess an uncompromising commitment to the school’s values and ideals. To be considered students must submit a nomination form, go through an interview, and be selected by a team of administrators and teachers.  The Prefect Council helps to oversee all areas of student life and lead the student body with emphasis on service not privilege.  Congratulations to these rising seniors:

Dee Bohol, daughter of Ernesto and Teresa Bohol of West Palm Beach, will serve as a Service Prefect.  She has attended The King’s Academy for three years and has been involved in His People Honors Choir, Dance Program, Performing Arts musical productions, and Key Club.

Michelle Boursiquot, daughter of Patrick and Nicole Boursiquot of Loxahatchee, will serve as a Fine Arts Prefect.  She has attended The King’s Academy for thirteen years and has been involved in Choir, Marching Lions Band, Swingin’ King’s Jazz Band, JV Softball, National Honor Society, National Chinese Honor Society, National Math Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Chinese Club and the Performing Arts musical productions of Les Miserables, Hunchback of Notre Dame, and The Phantom of the Opera.

Cortland Brigham, son of George and Kerri Brigham of West Palm Beach, will serve as the Student Life Prefect.  He has attended The King’s Academy for twelve years and has been involved in Varsity Soccer, Swimming, and Lacrosse, National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, National Math Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Political Science Club, TKA Ambassador, Student Council, and His People Honors Choir.

Payton Campbell, daughter of Leslie and Bobbie Campbell of Lake Worth, will serve as an Athletic Prefect.  She has attended The King’s Academy for six years and has been involved in Track & Field, Cross Country, National Honor Society, National Math Honor Society, National English Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, and the Performing Arts Program.

Brittany Leckrone, daughter of Todd and Leslie Leckrone of Atlantis, will serve as a Unity Prefect.  She has attended The King’s Academy for twelve years and has been involved in the Performing Arts Dance Program, Key Club, and National Honor Society.

Emily McGrath, daughter of Don and LeAnne McGrath of West Palm Beach, will serve as a Fine Arts Prefect.  She has attended The King’s Academy for eleven years and has been involved in Concert Band, Marching Lions Band, Flute Choir, Orchestra, National Honor Society, National Math Honor Society, National English Honor Society, and Tri-M Music Honor Society.

Kelsey Maglio, daughter of Brian and Rebecca Maglio of Palm Beach Gardens, will serve as a Service Prefect.  She has attended The King’s Academy for three years and has been involved in Varsity Golf, Varsity Basketball, National Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, and National Spanish Honor Society.

Bryson Mills, son of Henry and Krista Mills of Royal Palm Beach, will serve as an Athletic Prefect.  He has attended The King’s Academy for three years and has been involved in Varsity Football, Varsity Basketball, Key Club, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Cher Nicholson, daughter of Richard and Donna Nicholson of Royal Palm Beach will serve as the Academic Prefect.  She has attended The King’s Academy for three years and has been involved in JV and Varsity basketball and tennis, National Honor Society, MV Alpha Theta Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, and Key Club.

Emma Percy, daughter of Michael and Meg Percy of West Palm Beach, will serve as a Fine Arts Prefect.  She has attended The King’s Academy for ten years and has been involved in the Fine Arts Program, Marching Lions Band, other Band Programs, and the Performing Arts musical productions.

James Alexander Ross, son of Kevin and Jackie Ross of Wellington, will serve as a Unity Prefect.  He has attended The King’s Academy for two years and has been involved in Varsity Basketball, Golf, Key Club, Study Abroad Program in Spain, Future Business Leaders of America.

Andrew Titus, son of Ray and Andrea Titus of West Palm Beach, will serve as a Spiritual Life Prefect.  He has attended The King’s Academy for thirteen years and has been involved in JV and Varsity Basketball, Student Council, TKA Honors Choirs His People and In Him, and Performing Arts musical productions.

Brandon Tourigny, son of Carl and Denise Tourigny of Loxahatchee, will serve as a Spiritual Life Prefect.  He has attended TKA for four years and has been involved Cross Country, National Honor Society and National Spanish Honor Society.

Maria Witzen, daughter of Mark and Kylie Witzen of Palm Beach Gardens, will serve as a Spiritual Life Prefect.  She has attended The King’s Academy for three years and has been involved in His People Honors Choir, Concert & Symphonic Band, Swingin’ King’s Jazz Band, Marching Lions Band, JV Basketball, Key Club, National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, National Math Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, and Tri-M Music Honor Society.
