Andrew Kozan Tees off In First PGA Tour Event at the Puerto Rico Open
TKA sophomore Andrew Kozan will tee off in his first Professional Golf Association (PGA) Tour event as an amateur tomorrow at 7:30AM ET at the Puerto Rico Open in Rio Grande, PR. Andrew earned a Sponsor’s Exemption into the PGA TOUR event in Puerto Rico by winning the American Junior Golf Association’s (AJGA) Puerto Rico Junior Open on January 17th. Andrew’s final push on the back nine of the 3rd round, guaranteed him a 3 stroke win, championship, and exemption.
Andrew with TKA Coach, Ross CashSince he started playing golf at 10 years of age, Andrew has competed in golf tournaments across the country. This season has been one of significant growth for Andrew who won the FHSAA 1A District 20 individual championship, the FHSAA 1A Region 7 individual title, and placed fifth at the FHSAA 1A State Finals for the Lions. In December, Andrew captured the Florida Junior Tour Championship winning the 15 and 16 – 18 year old division. Andrew has verbally committed to play NCAA Division 1 golf for Auburn University.
