TKA is approximately 15-20 minutes by car from Palm Beach International Airport (PBI), which connects to most of the major US hubs for international travel.

Additionally, Fort Lauderdale International (FLL) and Miami International Airports (MIA) are within driving distance of TKA and offer direct and connecting flights throughout the world, making international travel to and from The King’s Academy a fast and convenient experience.

2023-2024 School Year: Travel / Airport Arrival:

The Student is responsible for his or her own travel expenses at the beginning and end of the year. New students are asked to arrive on Saturday, July 29th, or Sunday, July 30th, 2023, between the hours of 08:00am (08:00) and 8:00pm (20:00), Eastern Standard (Florida local) Time. Students may choose to arrive into Palm Beach International (PBI), Fort Lauderdale International (FLL), or Miami International (MIA).​

Some students may choose to travel domestically during their tenure at TKA at their own expense. Students under the age of 18 may only travel under the direct supervision of their designated Host Family, a TKA staff member, an immediate adult family member over the age of 25, or a previously approved adult chaperone over the age of 25. Approval of adult chaperones will be at the sole discretion of The King’s Academy Secondary Leadership. All overnight visits must be approved by TKA Secondary Leadership using a Student Travel Form.

Travel will be permitted on a case-by-case basis and approval for such requests will be at the sole discretion of TKA Secondary Leadership. Incomplete permission forms will not be approved. Violation of this policy may result in the immediate removal of the student from the International Program and an immediate return to the student’s home country at the expense of the student’s natural family.
