College counseling is Robin’s dream job. She has presented at SACAC’s College Bootcamp for underprivileged high school students at the University of Miami. Robin is a member of ACSI, NACAC, SACAC, and NACCAP.   After 20 years in the business world, Robin’s career in education commenced as a substitute teacher, followed by an eight-year tenure as a middle school history teacher where she was recognized as the Deaver Foundation Teacher of the Year in 2005. As a middle school guidance counselor Robin received two ACSI Exemplary Program Awards, one for her Guardian Angel Program which mentored new students, and the other for her Alumni Tutoring Program. Robin found her niche as a high school guidance counselor, where she fell in love with college counseling. This is Robin’s sixth year at The King’s Academy, a place she considers to be “a slice of heaven”. In her free time, Robin loves to read historical fiction, kayak, garden, ride her bike, and attend theatrical events.
