TKA Students in elementary, first grade through sixth grade may check out two books. Secondary students, seventh grade through twelfth grade may check out three books. We accommodate students with additional books when assigned class projects.
Students who have reached this limit must return one of the items they have checked out before being able to check out more materials.
We encourage our parents to be patrons of the library. Parents are free to check out books for themselves or additional books for their children.
Elementary students may borrow books for 14 days. Secondary students may borrow books for 21 days. Students may renew their books. If someone has put a hold on a book, the book may not be renewed. The King’s Academy students may log into their library account and renew their books off campus or stop by the library to request their renewal.
Faculty and staff loans are due at the end of each term.
Renewals may be requested by email or in person.
Returns and Overdue Notices
Patrons are responsible for the timely return of library materials. Overdue notices are sent by e-mail to the students’ parents as a courtesy to remind them of the materials checked out. E-mails are generated daily on overdue items as a reminder to renew or return an item. Notices are printed weekly.
When books are lost, a student is charged for the replacement cost of the book. Fines and lost books need to be taken care of by the end of each marking period.
