The King’s Academy has a long history of quality summer camp activities for its students and for children throughout Palm Beach County.  This summer, Ms. Van Wart, TKA Camp Director and her staff of TKA faculty members offer “Camp Challenge:  The Survivor Series” for campers age 5 to grade 6.  Sports and vocal arts camps are also available for budding athletes and artists from grade 3 to grade 8.

Theme weeks include:
Week 1 (June 7-11):  Wet-n-Wild Fun in the Sun (Water Activities for All Ages)
Week 2 (June 14-18):  Extreme Sports (Any Sport Goes!)
Week 3 (June 21-25):  It’s Show Time (w/ TKA Theater Company Show)
Week 4 (June 28-July 2):  God Bless America (Celebrating our Patriotic Heritage)
Week 5 (July 6-9):  Literacy Week (Summer Reading Book Clubs)
Week 6 (July 12-16):  Exploring Careers (w/ Special Community Leader Visits)
Week 7 (July 19-23):  Who’s Got Talent? (Student/Teacher Talent Show)
Week 8 (July26-30):  New Year’s Celebration (Celebrate the New School Year w/ a Party)

Dates TBA: Vocal Arts Camp (Campers receive vocal training and perform in a live musical show w/ TKA Music Director S. Santiago)

Sports camp weeks include:
Week 1 (June 7-11):  Volleyball (w/ TKA Head Coach R. Haine)
Week 2 (June 14-18):  Baseball/Softball (w/ TKA Head Coaches D. Magaw and T. Willcox)
Week 3 (June 21-25):  Track/Boys’ Basketball (w/ TKA Head Coaches R. Silva and M. Murray)
Week 4 (June 28-July 2):  No Sports Camps
Week 5 (July 6-9):  Girls’ Basketball/Tennis (w/ TKA Head Coaches R. Leber and Evans)
Week 6 (July 12-16):  Football (w/ TKA Head Coach C. Dobson)
Week 7 (July 19-23):  Cheerleading (w/ 2010 State Champion an d TKA Head Coach J. Allen)
Week 8 (July26-30):  Boys’ and Girls’ Soccer (w/ TKA Head Coaches J. Barrantes and G. Martin)

“During our eight-week program, campers are inspired to set personal, physical, spiritual, and intellectual goals through a fun-filled schedule of on-campus activities and daily field trips,” said Van Wart.
