It was an amazing night at the 2012 Pathfinders Ceremony last night.

• Kelsey Trumbach - 1st Place in Literature ($3,000 Scholarship awarded)
• Cameron Sharrock - 3rd place in vocal music ($1,500 Scholarship awarded)
• Connor Saccal - 4th place in drama ($1,000 Scholarship awarded)
• Cecilia Breland received a $3,000 Mary Lou Hilley Memorial Scholarship from the Executive Woman of the Palm Beaches.

The Pathfinders, given to high school seniors in Palm Beach and Martin counties, honor students who have demonstrated exceptional academic, vocational or athletic achievement. The 18 first-place winners were recognized this evening during a ceremony at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.

The scholarships are sponsored by Palm Beach Newspapers Inc., which publishes The Palm Beach Post and the Palm Beach Daily News. Since the Pathfinders' beginning in 1984, the company has doled out more than $2.24 million in scholarships to 1,944 students, including this year's $135,000 in prizes.

First-place winners in each category receive a college scholarship of $3,000, second-place winners receive $2,000, third place receive $1,500, and fourth place receive $1,000.
