There are five steps to enroll your child in The King's Academy. The admissions office will assist you through this process.
Step 1 - Apply
To apply for admission, please submit an application, three previous years of report card(s), school recommendation(s), Florida health forms, birth certificate, and application fee of $100.00 (per student).
Step 2 - Test
All applicants are tested for entrance. Testing takes place on our campus. K4, K5, K6, and first grade applicants are tested individually by appointment. Applicants for grades 2-12 are tested in groups. Please check for upcoming test dates.
Step 3 - Interview
In order for students to be successful at The King's Academy the applicants should meet the following standards:
- Score at 50th percentile or above on the entrance test.
- A "C" average or better in major subjects on report cards.
- Recommendation(s) and report card(s) indicating satisfactory conduct.
A personal interview will be scheduled. At least one parent or legal guardian must be present at the interview. The interview may be waived for an elementary applicant.
Step 4 - Acceptance
Applicants with the greatest chance of acceptance demonstrate exemplary moral character, academic ability, independence, responsibility, and self-discipline. The Admissions Committee carefully considers the applicant's school record, teacher recommendations, performance on the entrance test, and personal interview.
Step 5 - Registration
Once accepted, arrangements are made for families to complete the registration process. Students are not registered until ALL forms are completed, contract is submitted, and the $850.00 registration fee is paid.
